Regarding plans to reduce the number of flights departing from Europe's third-busiest airport, five airlines have filed a lawsuit against the Netherlands government.
In making its decision, the government cited local concerns at Amsterdam Schiphol over how flying affects noise pollution and the environment.
The measures, according to airlines KLM, Easyjet, Delta, Tui, and Corenden, violate EU and international law.
